Following the words of the first Secretary General of NATO, Hastings_Ismay, regarding NATO´s purpose “to keep the Russians out, the Americans in, and the Germans down”, one could say that the aim of the Ukraine conflict purposefully brought about by the USA is: to keep the Russians and Chinese out, the USA in, and the Europeans down and in line!
The US accuses China of “genocide” in its western Xinjiang region. However, China had been reacting to US-sponsored separatism including a years-long campaign of deadly terrorism and militancy.
So-called “human rights” groups funded by the US government are in fact separatist organizations sponsored by Washington hiding behind the smokescreen of human rights advocacy.
One, Campaign for Uyghurs, includes members who have openly called for separatism as well as ethnic cleansing against non-Uyghurs.

In its triple strike of sanctions on Russia, the EU initially was not looking to collapse the Russian financial system. Far from it: Its first instinct was to find the means to continue purchasing its energy needs (made all the more vital by the state of the European gas reserves hovering close to zero). Purchases of energy, special metals, rare earths (all needed for high tech manufacture) and agricultural products were to be exempted. In short, at first brush, the sinews of the global financial system were intended to remain intact.
Two days ago we looked at why Russia is doing what it does:
Russia understood Zelensky’s remark in Munich as a threat by Ukraine to acquire nuclear weapons. It already has the expertise, materials and means to do that.

Russia and China are making a show of power to force a withdrawal in the boundaries of US hegemony.
It has become increasingly obvious that the West has had no diplomatic strategy to deal with the Ukraine crisis beyond cranking-up Psyops into a hysteria. Western leaders did not appreciate early enough the wider geostrategic inflection point brought about by the Putin-Xi Beijing Declaration, or the determination with which it would be implemented. Rather, Europe followed the usual reflexive Merkelism (named after the former German Chancellor) of avoiding making any hard decisions; papering-over strategic schisms with a dash of cash; adding plenty of fudge, and then a kick of the can down the road.
