This week, the Government released another consultation into Covid passports – this time, on how a mandatory Covid passport scheme should work.
This comes despite the Government’s claims that they are not going to impose Covid IDs and they are merely a ‘Plan B’ reserve policy.

On Tuesday I provided that the New York Times and CNN were spreading fake news about Taliban policy in Afghanistan by quoting a hoax tweet from an imposter’s Twitter account.
Forty-eight hours later both stories are still uncorrected despite the fact that many have have pointed out the ‘error’ in them.

Rafael Tufiño Figueroa (Puerto Rico), La plena, 1952-54.Dear friends,
Greetings from the desk of the Tricontinental: Institute for Social Research.
Each year in September, the heads of governments come to the United Nations Headquarters in New York City to inaugurate a new session of the General Assembly. The area surrounding the headquarters becomes colourful, delegates from each of the 193 member states milling about the UN building and then going out to lunch in the array of restaurants in its vicinity that scraped through the pandemic. Depending on the conflicts that abound, certain speeches are taken seriously; conflicts in this or that part of the world demand attention to the statements made by their leaders, but otherwise there is a queue of speeches that are made and then forgotten.
Screen shot from the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) event, where CIA Director Mike Pompeo singled out WikiLeaks. | Fair use for news commentary.Though District Judge Vanessa Baraitser ruled against the United States’ extradition request, she rejected the argument from the legal team for WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange that hostility within U.S. intelligence agencies “translated into improper pressure on federal prosecutors to bring charges.”
UK government’s response to public consultation on gene editing is scientifically indefensible and a slap in the face for democracy
The UK government has released its response to the public consultation on its plans to deregulate gene editing – but only AFTER all the morning news broadcasts hyping the potential of the technology.
For months, Government has been refusing to hand over evidence in our challenge concerning Abingdon Health, the testing company awarded £85 million worth of contracts without competition. Yesterday we took Government to Court to fight for this evidence – and we had a good day.

Taliban Accuses US Of Violating Afghanistan’s Airspace With Drones
https://southfront.org/taliban-accuses-us-of-violating-afghanistans-airspace-with-drones/
Gareth Porter has described how Corporate media stirred global terror hysteria to push postwar hostility toward new Afghan govt:
Following the Taliban’s victory over the U.S. military, U.S. corporate media has churned out a new narrative about the imminent threat of terrorism from Afghanistan that sets the stage for future military interventions. Blasted out in a stunningly disciplined fashion, the media has demonstrated as clearly as ever its coordination with the national security state and advancements of its interests.
The badmouthing of the Taliban government continues.

According to Daily Beast‘s Nick Schager (9/13/21), A La Calle “addresses the sad state of affairs plaguing Venezuela, a country ruled by a so-called ‘socialist’ dictator who refuses to acknowledge his anti-democratic nature.”
HBO Max began streaming a documentary on September 15: A La Calle (“To the Street”). It portrays US-backed opposition leaders in Venezuela as pro-democracy heroes battling a brutal dictatorship—a total reversal of the truth. A Daily Beast article (9/13/21) promoting the film is headlined “Capturing Venezuela’s Descent Into Socialist Hell,” which succinctly conveys the film’s slant, and suggests why it found a big corporate platform like HBO Max, a subsidiary of AT&T‘s WarnerMedia.

The US and its allies continue beating the drums of war in regards to China, but how serious is this? Will it really lead to war, or is it merely posturing meant to give the US the most favorable position on the other side of a fully ascendant China?

“What is constantly overlooked is the fact that the disabled community’s experience of this DWP “help and support” is via the politics of fear using the WCA. The assessment is conducted by an unaccountable American corporate giant, with the fatally flawed WCA using a discredited BPS model which failed all academic scrutiny. Every clinical lead in the UK demanded that the WCA should be abolished, including the Royal College of Psychiatrists, the Royal College of General Practitioners, the British Medical Association, and the British Psychological Society, who all identified the WCA as being unfit for purpose. They were all disregarded by the DWP, as is the growing mental health crisis directly linked to the fear of the next WCA, and the constant DWP threat of sanctions. To date, the DWP have disregarded all published, independent academic research which identifies the ongoing and inevitable public health crisis created by social policies adopted since 2010.” (p7)

If the images and videos coming out of the COVID Police State in Australia are not terrifying enough for you, wait until you hear about the latest going on within the ruling federal regimes Down Under.
On October 11, Australia’s most populous state will officially transform into an apartheid state, becoming the first known territory in the world to radically segregate “unvaccinated” citizens from greater society. Aussie authorities in the country’s most populous state have now set a plan in motion to strip citizens of their rights and subject them to mandatory home confinement as punishment for refusing to “voluntarily” take the COVID shots.

Question: Which opportunities and risk factors does the new Taliban’s Islamic Emirate in Afghanistan present? Does Russia fear that the presence of Taliban could somehow feed Islamic extremism in the region? If so, what can be done?

PRINCETON, NEW JERSEY — The competing systems of power in the United States are divided between oligarchy and autocracy. There are no other alternatives. Neither are pleasant. Each have peculiar and distasteful characteristics. Each pays lip service to the fictions of democracy and constitutional rights. And each exacerbates the widening social and political divide and the potential for violent conflict.
With the recent pledge by China, Russia, Iran and Pakistan for renewed defense of Afghanistan’s sovereignty and right to develop, many have jumped the gun to celebrate a little prematurely.
