Iran: A Target of State-sponsored Terrorism "Made in America" By Kourosh Ziabari

2 July 2012 — Global Research

Those who mischievously called Iran a part of the so-called “Axis of Evil” and put its name in their ludicrous list of the state sponsors of terrorism – the list from which the name of Saddam Hussein’s Baathist regime was removed in 1982, are either ostensibly ignorant of the concept of terrorism or apparently unaware of the hardships the terrorists have imposed upon Iran in the past three decades. Video: Lifta – film-in-progress (must watch)

2zJuly 2012 Gilad Atzmon

Lifta is the only remaining Arab village depopulated in Israel’s 1948 War of Independence that has not been completely destroyed or re-populated by Jews. Lifta’s Arab heritage, architecture and history are about to be erased by Jerusalem’s municipality that plans to build over 250 luxury villas, shops and a hotel on this site. An international coalition which includes Palestinian Arabs and Israeli Jews is trying to stop this development and preserve Lifta as a place of memory, of respect and, hopefully, of reconciliation. The scenes are from a documentary film-in-progress about this struggle. Continue reading

The results of the Geneva talks on Syria depend on whom you ask.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton insists that the principle of “mutual consent” on which a “transitional government”in Syria would be based, means President Assad has to go. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, on the contrary, insists the formation of a “transitional government” will be made on inclusive basis.

Economic Sanctions portray West's Duplicity on Iran By Kourosh Ziabari

30 June, 2012 — Global Research

As Iran refuses to bow down to the illegitimate demands of the United States, Israel and their European allies to abandon its peaceful nuclear program, the inhumane economic sanctions against Tehran are being intensified, putting an excessive and unjustifiable pressure on the ordinary Iranian citizens who are unquestionably the victims of the West’s hostility and antagonism toward the Islamic Republic.
