The war in Ukraine has focused attention on the shifts taking place in the world order. Russia’s military intervention has been met with sanctions from the West as well as with the transport of arms and mercenaries to Ukraine. These sanctions will have a major impact on the Russian economy as well as the Central Asian states, but they will also negatively impact the European population who will see energy and food prices rise further. Until now, the West has decided not to intervene with direct military force or to try and establish a ‘no-fly zone’. It is recognised, sanely, that such an intervention could escalate into a full-scale war between the United States and Russia, the consequences of which are unthinkable given the nuclear weapons capacities of both countries. Short of any other kind of response, the West – as with the Russian intervention in Syria in 2015 – has had to accept Moscow’s actions.
But I just couldn’t resist putting up this image of a ‘corpse’ taking time out from death to have a nice, relaxing smoke! Laughable if it were not for the real corpses piling up courtesy the Empire! I need to amend this; It’s virtually impossible for me to ‘switch off’, I’ve already broken my own ‘rule’ twice! But I will endeavour to chill out, I have to.
I’m going to have to take a step back from editing/publishing for awhile but I hope not my writing, as my health is suffering under the stress of dealing with the endless nightmares being inflicted on us by the Anglo-American Empire, but especially of course the events in the Ukraine, a place extremely close to me, perhaps too close to me really, as my maternal family originate from that corner of the former Soviet Union, in fact before the Soviet Union even existed!
And for more than two years we have suffered under the engineered crisis of Covid-19, the pretext for the establishment of some kind ‘digital’ Fascism, that is to say, the corporate, surveillance state, which has now entered its second stage; total censorship of any and all divergent views and analysis; any views that challenge the existing presentation of events.

With Julian still, for no rational reason, held in maximum security, the legal process around his extradition continues to meander its way through the overgrown bridlepaths of the UK’s legal system. Today the Supreme Court refused to hear Julian’s appeal, which was based on the grounds of his health and the effect upon it of incarceration in the conditions of the United States prison service. It stated his appeal had “no arguable legal grounds.”
By the end of this month, as the Western media messaging goes, Russia will be defeated by the NATO-backed Ukrainian rag-tag of NeoNazi brigades.
Russia’s military intervention in Ukraine takes war to a new level of information warfare. Over the past three weeks, Western mainstream media has unleashed a tsunami of false information and distortion that has swept many people off their feet in disarray.
The 141 nations that voted to condemn Russia just happen to include all the western countries dominated by whites. These include the iconic, historic empires (“bullies,” if you will): England, US, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Netherlands. And like the white settler-colonists of South Africa, with this vote they have circled the wagons in a global laager. The lines have been drawn and the sides have been chosen.

The only real anti-war position on the Ukraine conflict is support for de-escalation, diplomacy, and detente. Yelling “PUTIN BAD” and calling for escalations that could lead to a very fast, very radioactive WWIII are not anti-war, and indeed such sentiments are being exploited to prolong this war.
People have started to take note of the directional fear mongering that is coming from various ‘western’ officials.

Prime Minister Modi chaired a meeting of Cabinet Committee on Security and top officials, New Delhi, March 13, 2022 Hedging between superpowers — United States, Russia and China — was never the smart thing to do. India should have known that the contradictions are simply irreconcilable.
This is a moment of truth, therefore, as the US unsheathes the sword to bleed and dismember Russia, and gives an ultimatum to China to stay out of it.
