Katherina von Schnurbein, the EU’s coordinator against anti-Semitism, regularly smears the Palestine solidarity movement. Credit: Lukasz Kobus European Union

For nearly four years, Katharina von Schnurbein has been posing as a champion of Europe’s Jews.

If taken at face value, her speeches at numerous conferences suggest she is a conscientious civil servant motivated by a desire to halt persecution. A more detailed examination reveals she has been following an agenda set by Israel and its supporters.

‘How Dare You!’ The Climate Crisis And The Public Demand For Real Action

30 September 2019 — Media Lens

Reality clashed with the BBC version of false consensus in a remarkable edition of HardTalk last month. Roger Hallam, co-founder of Extinction Rebellion, was starkly honest about humanity’s extreme predicament in the face of climate breakdown and refused to buckle under host Stephen Sackur’s incredulous questioning. Sackur’s inability to grasp that we are already in a climate emergency, and that massive changes are necessary now to avoid societal collapse, was clear for all to see. His line of questioning attempted to present Hallam to the BBC audience as a dangerous revolutionary, trying to destroy capitalism for twisted ideological reasons.

Sackur: ‘You want to bring down the capitalist system as we know it, is that correct?

Hallam: ‘The capitalist system is going to be brought down by itself. The capitalist system is eating itself.’

Accusations that disaster capitalists are piling the pressure on Johnson to pursue no-deal Brexit

30 September 2019 — True Publica

By TruePublica Editor: “For the first time in 35 years, I am not packing my bag to travel to the Tory party conference tomorrow. The party I joined as a student and first campaigned for in the 1979 general election is suffering a convulsion that makes it — for now at least — unrecognisable to me. Gone is the relaxed, broad-church coalition, united by a belief in free-trade, open markets, fiscal discipline and a fear of the pernicious effects of socialism, but tolerant of a wide range of social and political opinion within its ranks. In its place is an ideological puritanism that brooks no dissent and is more and more strident in its tone.”

Julian Assange’s lawyers were placed under surveillance. But that’s not the whole story

29 September 2019 — The Canary

A private security company organised 24/7 surveillance of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange during his stay at the Ecuadorian embassy in London. This included confidential meetings between Assange and members of his legal team. The surveillance was provided directly to the CIA. These revelations could possibly jeopardise the viability of the US extradition case.

But within this story there lies another that raises serious questions about the establishment media and allegiances.

Here is the dirt Trump wanted from Zelensky about the Bidens and why Zelensky doesn’t want to give it to him — hidden by rampant falsehoods in the press

28 September 2019 — Washington’s Blog

Eric Zuesse, originally posted at The Saker

In order to understand why Ukraine’s President Voldomyr Zelensky doesn’t want the dirt about Joe Biden to become public, one needs to know that Hunter Biden’s boss and benefactor at Burisma Holdings was, at least partly, Zelensky’s boss and benefactor until Zelensky became Ukraine’s President, and that revealing this would open up a can of worms which could place that former boss and benefactor of both men into prison at lots of places.

Boris Johnson plans to spend billions to help the rich get richer

29 September 2019 — The Canary

A new report from an independent think tank, has found that Boris Johnson’s “desire to radically overhaul” the tax system will cost us billions of pounds every year. And it will only benefit the very richest people. It also seems confirmed that Johnson hurtling the UK towards a no-deal Brexit is down to pressure from billionaire investors.

On The Motives Behind Whistleblower-gate

28 September 2019 — Moon of Alabama

The recent impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump is the second attempt by the CIA and the Democratic establishment to sabotage Trump’s presidency. The first attempt was the ‘Russiagate’ conspiracy theory which falsely claimed that Trump colluded with the Russian government to win the election. It took more than two years to defeat it. It had the intended side effect that it disabled Trump from making peace with Russia.

The mounting human cost of the Thomas Cook collapse By Richard Tyler

28 September 2019 — WSWS

Hundreds of thousands of Thomas Cook customers had their holidays brought to a sudden end when the company was placed in compulsory liquidation in the early hours of Monday morning.

The international scale of the crisis, with devastating economic and social implications, has rapidly become clear. The collapse means that the firm’s entire 22,000-strong global workforce have lost their jobs. Some 9,000 of these are employed in the UK, with 6,000 already laid off. The firm was headquartered in Manchester, with 3,000 previously employed in the region.
