Haiti protests

The social climate is heating up in Haiti, as social frustrations accumulate in a minefield that never ends up being deactivated. After last year’s intense mobilizations, with massive and radical epicenters in the months of July, October and November, the strategic truce at the end of the year gave rise to a materially precarious, but calm, Christmas. But the festivities were nothing more than a brief interval. Soon the battles would resume against the high cost-of-living, persistent corruption, social and economic crisis and the absence of a national model for the first independent republic emerging from the history of this side of Rio Bravo. The protests have been occurring for the last twelve intense days, and nothing seems to indicate that they are going to stop.

Who Gains from Turning Europe into a Potential Nuclear Battlefield?

20 February 2019 — Land Destroyer
(Tony Cartalucci – NEO) – The United States and its NATO partners are attempting to make the case for Washington’s decision to abandon the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty.

Claims that the Russian Federation has been violating the treaty have yet to be substantiated with anything resembling credible evidence. Also missing is any rational explanation as to why Russia would develop or deploy nuclear weapons capable of launching a nuclear strike on Europe without warning – a scenario the INF Treaty was created to deter.

Unbelievable: Congress to Pass Sanctions Against Syria Reconstruction

28 January 2019 — Defend Democracy Press

The US/al-Qaeda regime-change onslaught failed so now posturing US politicians will do everything they can to make sure Syria goes through the same sanctions hell Iraq did 1990-2003:

On Tuesday, the House of Representatives unanimously passed legislation to impose new sanctions on the Syrian government of Bashar al-Assad and its allies, and those who do business with them. The move comes a month after President Donald Trump’s announcement to withdraw troops from Syria, and as some Arab governments are thawing relations with the Assad regime, which has all but secured a military victory after nearly eight years of war. The measure has been passed by the House twice in previous sessions, and a companion bill currently remains pending in the Senate. Continue reading

The International Rogue Nation: America By Eric ZUESSE

20 February 2019 — Strategic Culture Foundation

In 2003, America (and its lap-dog UK) invaded and destroyed Iraq on the basis of lies to the effect that the U.S. (and UK) regime were certain that Saddam Hussein had and was developing weapons of mass destruction. These U.S. allegations were based on provable falsehoods when they were stated and published, but the regime’s ‘news’-media refused to publish and demonstrate (or “expose”) any of these lies. That’s how bad the regime was — it was virtually a total lock-down against truth, and for international conquest (in that case, of Iraq): it was mass-murder and destruction on the basis of sheer lies.
