16 November 2021 — Defense for Children International
On behalf of DCIP I’d like to invite you to the virtual premiere of our new short documentary, Caging Childhood, on Saturday, November 20 at 1 p.m. Eastern. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion on the Israeli military detention system, its impact on Palestinian children, and how this film can be used for advocacy. Here’s the link to register:
We have found that films featuring Palestinian children’s voices are powerful tools for advocacy, both in our communities and with our elected officials. This film follows the stories of three Palestinian boys through the Israeli military detention system while they are detained, arrested, interrogated, and imprisoned by Israeli forces. The boys’ stories, told in their own words, are supplemented by evidence collected by DCIP and expert analysis.
We hope to see you at the premiere—please share this invitation with your network of advocates, as it is an important tool in understanding and advocating for the end of military detention.
