Britain wants Rupert Murdoch to testify before parliament over the wiretapping scandal. Earlier, the media mogul was pressured out of a deal with the UK’s largest satellite broadcaster.

The deal would have put him in control of a large part of the British media market.

The US businessman and his son James, who oversaw Murdoch’s News Corp’s expansion in the UK, have earlier refused to appear before British investigators, and have been issued a summons on Thursday. It is unclear whether they will submit to the summons.
